Dear
Gary,
Sept. 25,
2007
Greetings in the
name of Jesus,
Well, things
seemed to have settled down here on the weather front; in other
words, no hurricanes lately. Praise God!!!! In another update, Bob
and Maricia are now doing fine after their head-on car collision.
Maricia is all but healed and Bob is getting better each day. He
is still wearing his cast on his wrist, but he can laugh now
without hurting (although it is still hard for him to sneeze.)
They thank you for your prayers, as we also do.
The most
important news we have to share is about a man named Les. He has
been attending our church services, but last week he broke down
and saw his need for forgiveness of sin. I was teaching out of the
5th chapter of the book of Acts and the Lord convicted
him. We were able to sit down and pray with him to receive the
Lord!!! PRAISE GOD!!! He is doing well and reading the Word. Amen.
We have been
going out on a few Sunday afternoons to a new church in Red Bank
and helping them with some of their services. They have about
20-25 kids and are looking for Sunday School materials (which we
are currently looking into.) We met two missionaries, John and
Darlene, who started a church in Silk Grass, which is a village
about an hour from us. We are going out Sunday morning to minister
in worship and the Word for them. They seem happy to have someone
help them out. They also teach the religion classes at the local
high school and asked if we would substitute for them when they
are gone. We said we would love to. I love the doors that the Lord
opens up!!!! The team from Santa Barbara will be here this week
and we will be traveling with them to show them the area and some
of the needs and ministries going on here. One ministry in
particular is the Banana Plantation where we held a VBS last
month. The children and teachers at the Banana Plantation got so
on fire they have asked us to continue coming out. They want to
put on a show for us and the Santa Barbara group, so we are taking
them there on Thursday evening for a real Belizean dinner and a
worship service the kids have put together.
Well that is some
of the news from Belize. We are so blessed to be here and to be
used by the Lord. Thanks for sending us and being a part of God's
work. May your account in heaven be
multiplied.
God bless
you,
Jim and Anna

Village called San Roman which is close to Red Bank. Vincente is
the cousin of the Pastor in Red bank who is starting the new work.
Below is his wife Gregorio who is making us from scratch..I mean
